Sky Pencil Holly is a narrow, columnar evergreen that adds height where there is almost no width to spare. Small dark green leaves cover strictly upright stems, and mature plants usually reach 6–8 ft tall while staying only 1–2 ft across. That shape makes it a natural for framing an entry, marking corners, breaking up a long blank wall or standing in a pair of tall containers. Planted in a row it reads as a living screen without the footprint of a hedge.
